Golf clubs can be bought separately or even as a complete golf sets. The later is perfect for beginners who play occasionally.

If you have just started building interest in this game then you surely need to know about what kind of and how many clubs to carry in your bag. Golf clubs are usually found as woods, wedges, irons and putters.

Hybrid clubs are also available. These are made of a cross between a Wood and an Iron. When playing a game, a golfer can carry fourteen clubs in his bag. These clubs can of any combination as per golfer's wish.

There is one more decision that you need to make when buying your set. That is to decide whether you want to purchase a used set or buy a brand new. It is for sure safe to start with a used set, that way you will save some money to spend on balls (you need many if you are a newbie).

There always comes warnings whenever there is saving of money. That warning in this case is that used clubs mostly have worn out grips, used shafts and other such issues. Therefore, you should do some research and get the one which looks least damaged or which is guaranteed by the seller.

And there is a good news for the beginners that there are manufacturer's made starter's sets available in the market, which include a Driver, 3 thru 9 Irons, 3 Wood, 5 Wood, a Putter, and a Pitching Wedge inside a golf bag for you to carry. You can always add clubs to your golf set as you get grip over the game.

Newbies are always on a look out for some training from an experienced golfer to improve their strokes, game etiquette, stance etc. So, now newbies need not to worry as far as the training is concerned because there are some really good DVDs containing training guides, some amazing books, and other training aids that can go along with your purchase of golf set.

As with the ball, you need not to worry about getting the best kind of ball. You can start with buying the least expensive ball as you would lose many in the beginning. After sometime you may replace them for better kinds of balls.
