The Garmin approach G5 is the latest mobile navigation system designed to aid the golfer. Manufactured to the highest standard this waterproof touchscreen device will advise its user where the greens, fairways and golfing hazards are and even utilizes a highly sensitive GPS receiver in order to measure shot distances.

Golf courses in the USA and Canada are already preloaded onto the device. More courses are being added periodically to the database which includes Europe and Australia. In addition the current maps are always being updated and improved.

The G5 has a long battery life of 15 hours and runs on 2 AA batteries (not included.) Accessories included in the pack are a USB cable, user manual and a carabiner. Belt clips, case covers, car cables, navigation and mountings are also available as additional accessories.

This device will become an important aid to the golfer as it helps take the guesswork out of the game. The golfer will be able to analyze every shot by saving statistics onto the display screen. This can later be downloaded to the users PC and reviewed later. Removing the guesswork and analyzing shot distances can improve the game.

Free to download is the new Stat Tracking software. This allows an in depth game analysis which is simple and easy to use. Everything from tracking putts, average distances and seeing if the fairways were hit in regulation is included.

Offering no set up fees or subscription charges, the g5 is in full agreement with golfing rules. It can even cleverly zoom onto the green where the virtual moving flag there can be repositioned which gives more accurate yardage.

A user friendly, durable device, the Garmin approach G5 will easily become the golfers best friend, surviving even being dropped on the fairway, or besting the sun, wind and rain.
